Carrara Kolmården Checker is a checkerboard pattern composed of two tiles in contrasting styles, a light white-grey Carrara and a deep green-black Kolmården, meeting as calm and drama on the same wall. The pattern is created by the simple rhythm of two shades that change field by field, without a diagonal. A graphic expression with the detail of the dark veins.
The inspiration comes from two classic marble types: the Italian Carrara with its timeless whiteness, and the Swedish Kolmården marble from Östergötland, known for its green-black patterns. Both are reproduced in porcelain stoneware with a honed surface, semi-polished, matte, and velvety. The detail of marble, the durability of ceramics.
