Terrazzo is a porcelain stoneware inspired by classic Italian terrazzo, a composite stone originating in 15th-century Venice. The original terrazzo was created by Venetian stonemasons who reused marble scraps in a cement-based binder and ground the surface to a smooth finish. The result was a tile with a colourful pattern and rustic character that has since adorned everything from palaces to modern homes.
The expression is recreated in porcelain stoneware with a matte finish and warm fragments in black, beige, grey, and terracotta on a light background. It combines the classic terrazzo character with the durability of ceramics. Fully rectified, so the grout lines can be kept to a minimum.
Suitable for both floors and walls indoors. The lively pattern adds character and tells a story in the bathroom, functioning both as a striking statement and as a calm background against smooth surfaces and clean lines.
